Our client, a well-established company providing consultancy, software and expert advice to companies around the world, is seeking an IT Administrator.

This is a new position working within a small administration team but will be the person responsible for everything IT related. This is a busy role and will require energy, flexibility and the bringing together of many skills.

Salary £22,000 – £26,000 DOE with an increase after probation, and excellent benefits.

Duties:

  • Buy and set up computers and monitors. Install Microsoft programs.
  • Arrange for computers, IT equipment etc to be repaired.
  • Make sure IT security systems are installed and used properly throughout the company.
  • Set up new employees with computers and getting them up and running with Outlook,  Sharepoint, CloudCall, Salesforce, Zoom, Teams, LinkedIn etc.
  • Liaise with providers and helpdesks to resolve problems.
  • Be highly proficient in the programs so you are the point of contact for all things IT.
  • Helping the Director of Sales and Marketing by populating Salesforce and preparing sales reports.
  • Creating spreadsheets. Data entry.
  • Replying to e-mails, typing letters and documents. Proofreading the work of others.
  • Answering the phone to customers when your colleagues are busy or away.
  • All the ad hoc things that are part and parcel of running an efficient office!

Skills and experience:

  • Highly literate, numerate, confident with technology, willing to learn, enjoy developing new skills and, specifically, getting to grips with technologies.
  • Confident with Microsoft Word and Excel. PowerPoint experience would be advantageous.
  • Able to prioritise and remain calm and cheerful when things get hectic. You must be approachable; someone from whom the team will want to seek guidance.
  • Able to anticipate and head off potential issues before they happen.
  • Able to remain focused when things are happening all around you. Pro-active and motivated on days when things are quiet.
  • Happy working on your own and equally happy working with others.
  • Keen to work with a positive, hardworking, energetic self-starters.
  • Able to take all the above in your stride.
